Andair
Cathedral Town- The roof tiles of the magnificent cathedral were hewn
from stone taken from the stone circle in the Old Forest. A popular
destination for pilgrims.
Blackstone
Priory- Built after the destruction of Cartmel Priory over a hundred
years ago. A tranquil place where monks go humbly about their work.
Several potent relics are said to reside here.
Brisingham
Castle Town- This moated fastness is the seat of Baron Godric
Gaslark. A market is held here each week.
Galen's Hollow- A small village of farmers and woodsmen lying on the edge of the Old Forest. Beneath her southern fields lies Mourndredge.
Giant's
Tor- An ancient crumbling rock formation said to be inhabited by a
vicious giant in elder days.
Gollowaith
Marshes- In a cave deep in the marshes, where poisonous ballymags
cavort in stagnant pools amid dripping stalactites, is said to rest the Mirror of Why, one of the Three Treasures of the island.
Gunwallow
Lake- At the bottom of the lake lives a disgraced knight supreme, who
retired from the world after returning from the Crusades. He
meditates upon virtue, and may share his wisdom with any who visit.
The
Old Forest- A vast tract of primeval woodland stretching from the
base of the Black Mountain. It is rumored that travelers who become
lost in these woods may wander into another world.
Ruins
of Cartmel Priory- The ruins of this once holy place have become the
home of monsters most foul.
Stone
Circle- A monument of the Old Faith. It is said druids still gather
in this place of Power.
Piledup- A village of about 266 individuals, built by the Men of Albion. It has a market. The Master of the town is a warrior named Hamish. Recently the town's wells have gone mysteriously dry...Emmerin Tor- An ancient heap of rock thrusting up from the land. Beneath it are said to be caverns, wherein dwells a wizard of dubious morals.
The Forest Caladon- A stretch of primeval woodland which serves as a haven for Witches, Demons, and other unregenerate fiends. Mysterious ruins left by the Romans and Dwarves have been swallowed up by the encroaching trees, never to be reclaimed.
The Hills Beyond Wisdom- It is said one who becomes lost among these rolling hills may find himself in another world...
The Hinterwilds
The Forest Caladon- A stretch of primeval woodland on Bretonnea's eastern border which serves as a haven for Witches, Demons, and other unregenerate fiends. Mysterious ruins left by the Romans and Dwarves have been swallowed up by the encroaching trees, never to be reclaimed.
Scathwood the Great- A great pine forest, rumored to be the home of elves and stranger things. It stretches up into the north for miles. Towards the middle of the forest, even the five winds obey the Wizard Supreme, Lord Maghnus.
The Fens of the Unworthy- A race of now-extinct one-eyed fen demons once dwelt here. Their crumbling fortresses sink into the mire year by year.
The Fens of the Wretched- A foul, stinking swamp formed where the River Aisen empties into the bay.
The Lonely Lake- A great, cold lake by a forlorn coast. Under the lake is said to lie a vast system of caverns. The Men of the Wilds have built a town on the lake's southwestern shore.
The Kurgos Sandwaste- This vast wasteland was once a fertile place, but overfarming in Roman times has left the land barren.
